Activities at Newton House Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Newton House Activities Team
Amanda, Sabrina, Karen and Jill make up our fantastic Activities Team here at Newton House. They develop and oversee an active living programme for each resident, which encourages mobility, social contact, independence and fun. Each and every person can thrive and live to their full potential with no day ever being the same. They bring great enthusiasm and spark to Newton House and have one passion, which is to deliver an amazing and vibrant activities programme to cater to all tastes and abilities.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Newton House Care Home
Burns Night
Here at Newton House, residents celebrated Burns Night with some traditional Scottish dancing by the University of the Third Age. This was followed by some signing whilst indulging with the refreshments on offer.
Alfie the therapy horse
The comfort 'Alfie' the miniature horse gave our residents was amazing. There was unconditional love between the Alfie and those who he visited. He will be back.
Pamper Day
Our residents at Newton House love being pampered in our very own beauty salon. First things first, a nice blow and dry from our lovely hairdresser.
Trip to local Cafe
Our residents had a trip out to a local café in the town centre. They enjoyed a cup of tea and toasted tea cake and reminisced about what the town looks like now compared to many years ago.
Winter Wonderland
Our residents had a festive morning at the local Winter Wonderland. They spent the whole day talking about what a magical time they had.
Christmas Party
Newton House hosted its annual Christmas party which was a huge success. It was enjoyed by all residents and families with lots of singing, dancing and refreshments on offer. We even had a cheeky visit from Santa.

Join us for our monthly Knit and Natter group on the Third Tuesday of every Month.
Wellbeing Coffee Morning
Every second Monday of the month. Make friends and enjoy a warm chat in our cafe area with snacks and refreshments.
Blue Light Break
Calling all Emergency Service workers. You are warmly welcome to join us for a break within our homes cafe areas.
