Activities at Newton House Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Newton House Activities Team
Amanda, Sabrina, Karen and Jill make up our fantastic Activities Team here at Newton House. They develop and oversee an active living programme for each resident, which encourages mobility, social contact, independence and fun. Each and every person can thrive and live to their full potential with no day ever being the same. They bring great enthusiasm and spark to Newton House and have one passion, which is to deliver an amazing and vibrant activities programme to cater to all tastes and abilities.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Newton House Care Home
DIY Morning
Newton's residents had a lovely morning with a touch of D.I.Y. They enjoyed making bird feeders to be placed in our vast garden areas. They had to sand and piece together everything, leaving them ready to decorate.
Visit to Poplar Farm School
Residents visited Poplar Farm school for national super heroes day. Children dressed up as one of their real life heroes and exchanged stories with the residents.
Valentine's Meal
Roses are red at Newton, as residents enjoyed a nice Valentines meal with loved ones and fellow residents.
Music Therapy wih Doreen
Our residents enjoyed singing and dancing thanks to Doreen and her regular music therapy sessions.
Day at the Dogs
Newton House enjoyed their monthly trip to the Nottingham dog racing. They were most welcoming. After we had placed our bets we got to meet one of the greyhounds that ran in the races. A good day had by all.
Nest Box Week
Residents joined in with 'National Nest box week'. We made our own nest boxes, which were then placed in our gardens. Everyone loves to see the local wildlife paying us a flying visit.

Young Carers Cafe
Join us with for our Young Carers Cafe, presented by 'Farrow and Friends' every third Wednesday of the month from 5pm to 6pm.

Join us for our monthly Knit and Natter group on the Third Tuesday of every Month.
Wellbeing Coffee Morning
Every second Monday of the month. Make friends and enjoy a warm chat in our cafe area with snacks and refreshments.
Blue Light Break
Calling all Emergency Service workers. You are warmly welcome to join us for a break within our homes cafe areas.
