Wood Grange Care Home in South Kesteven

Wood Grange Care Home provides high quality 24-hour nursing and residential care, as well as expert care for people living with dementia, in a warm and friendly environment. Our approach to care is based on person-centred care planning and our belief in independence, dignity and choice. As with any Barchester care home, we also pride ourselves on our hospitality, elegant and comfortable surroundings and excellent food and drink.

Dementia Care

Wood Grange has a dedicated Memory Lane Community that provides a safe, homely environment for people living with dementia, which has been designed following these guidelines ensuring the care we provide supports residents’ freedom of choice. We aim to maintain their life-skills, improving their self-esteem and helping them to maintain and develop their independence while they are living with us.

Staff undertake specialist dementia care training developed by our team of Dementia Care Specialists and academic partners, the Centre for Dementia Research at Leeds Beckett University. Together they ensure our training programmes are informed by the very latest thinking. We ensure that the people we support feel comfortable and safe in their surrounding environment, helping ensure they live life with dementia to the full.

Choosing a care home for a loved one or friend who may be experiencing dementia can be difficult and we have created a guide to showcase how we ‘Enrich the lives of people living with dementia’ in our care home.

Our purpose-built home is located on the River Glen in the historic town of Bourne. Why not pop in or arrange a visit to Wood Grange and experience all we have to offer for yourself?

Katya Petrova

General Manager

It is my privilege to welcome you to Wood Grange Care Home where I have the honour of leading the team and serving residents. Choosing a care home can be a difficult and emotional step, so my team and I are here to support you.

My name is Katya Petrova and I have been working for Barchester for over 20 years now. I have enjoyed progressing through several roles to become a Senior General Manager.

During my time at Barchester I have been fortunate to win Barchester Nurse of The Year 2013, and was the divisional winner in the category of General Manager of the Year 2021. These are my greatest career achievements and proud moments.

There is nothing more important to me than making people happy, which sometimes can mean simple things, like making sure people feel heard and valued and ensuring peace of mind for the families and friends.

Residents are at the heart of everything we do here at Wood Grange, and we think we’re perfectly suited to meet your family’s needs now and in the future.
