Activities at Moors Manor Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Jo Henderson
Hi, my name is Jo Henderson and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Moors Manor.
I am looking forward to bringing my creative side to the home as I was previously a florist and baker and look forward to us making lots of lovely treats for us all to enjoy.
When at home Jo is a mother to two wonderful daughters and also a pet mum to labrador Marley.
I cannot wait to welcome our residents into their wonderful new home and help to bring smiles, joy and laughter to each day.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Moors Manor Care Home

Getting crafty making bath bombs
Residents had an enjoyable afternoon getting crafty by making bath bombs with Lexy from Made By Me Craft Parties Residents were able to choose the fragrances that they wanted and then were able to then have a relaxing spa bath here in the home. We look forward to Lexy coming in again next year to bring more crafting fun for the residents to enjoy.

Mr Pops Balloons visits the home
We had the wonderful Mr Pop's Balloons for a fun afternoon of making balloon animals and items for the residents to enjoy. There were many requests from penguins, zebras, dogs and flowers and as you can see in the photos these brought lots of smiles and laughter. We look forward to Mr Pops Balloons coming in for our 4th Birthday party in February.

Carol Service with the Ringwood Twinning Association
Throughout December we have welcomed lots of people into the home. We had Ringwood & District Twinning Association and the choir from St Michael’s, Verwood come to the home for a wonderful carol concert which our residents enjoyed too. We all sang the carols together which everyone all took part in and then enjoyed some mulled wine and mince pies afterwards.

Bournemouth Christmas Market
Residents went to "Bournemouth Christmas Market" and were able to admire all the beautiful displays and lights throughout the gardens. We even managed a walk to the beach and finish off with a much needed hot drink and cake! Everyone got into the Christmas spirit and all had an amazing time.

Salisbury Christmas Market
Residents enjoyed a lovely trip to Salisbury Christmas Market. They all were able to have a look at the handmade crafts and Christmas items that were for sale. As always we couldn't not take advantage of the beautiful star to have our photo taken with. A lovely trip our and all the ladies came away feeling very Christmassy.

Christmas table centre making
Residents have been busy making Christmas table centres ready for the big day! Everyone has been able to be creative with using lots of different foliage's and then adding those Christmas touches with ribbons and fur cones. I am sure you will all agree these will look lovely on the tables.
