Activities at Moors Manor Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Darts game

Residents on memory lane enjoyed a game of darts, which is great for the hand eye coordination. Residents here really do enjoy group games and get a bit competitive with one another as well. Christine was our winner and as you can see she looked rather pleased with herself.

New years Day and Jean's 98th Birthday

We had two celebrations in the home New Years Day and Jean's 98th Birthday. Jean and the residents all met in the cafe for a tea party which included a glass of fizz in the afternoon which everyone enjoyed and also got to sing Jean Happy Birthday.

Happy Birthday Jean from all at Moors Manor.

Scrabble with Steve

We do enjoy our visits with Steve and his giant scrabble board. Residents got into two teams and got very competitive to see who can come up with the highest spelling word. It's a great way of getting the thinking caps going and also lots of fun as well.

We look forward to welcoming Steve back on his next visit to the home.

Christmas Day 2023

We had a wonderful time here at Moors Manor on Christmas Day. Residents all received a present from the home delivered by general manager Jenna and admin manager Gemma. Residents were very happy with their presents which ranged from slippers, scarfs, toiletries, arts and crafts and puzzles.

Before everyone enjoyed the beautiful Christmas dinner the kitchen team had prepared we enjoyed some singing and dancing while having a glass of sherry and mince pie. A really enjoyable day for all residents, their families and members of staff who were working as well.
