Activities at Moors Manor Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Bibesh Shrestha
Hi, My name is Bibesh Shrestha, Activity Coordinator for Moors Manor.
Having more than 10 years of professional experience in multiple sectors at different places have given me the confidence to get involved in any challenging environment where my skills and experience will be instrumental in achieving personal and social goals.
Being a motivator and influencer to the people around me has always been my passion, and also part of my profession. As an Activity Coordinator, my ultimate goal is to transfer my energy and spread my happiness.
Being active and full of energy with humbleness is what defines me and transferring that energy to the people around me has been my prime interest.

Life at Moors Manor Care Home
Burn's Night Celebrations
We held a wonderful lunch in honour of Robert Burns. We had local piper from Ringwood Pipe Band to play for when we brought in the haggis.
Burns Night is always a fantastic event, it's so important to continue these traditions. Our residents enjoyed a hearty meal of Scottish Broth, Haggis with neeps and tatties all prepared by our fantastic kitchen team.
Jean's special birthday celebrations
We helped Jean celebrate her 80th birthday here in the home. Jean and her family with residents and staff in the home had a wonderful afternoon enjoying the tea party that we hosted to help celebrate Jean's special birthday.
Happy Birthday Jean from all of us here at Moors Manor.
Winter Skin Care Event
We held a winter skincare event in the home with Natural Skin by Lynne. As it's the start of the year and we all want to look after ourselves, what better way than to have a lovely afternoon pampering yourself and also enjoying a cup of tea and cake on the side as well.
Steve performs for Open Day.
We had the wonderful Steve come into the home on Saturday for our Open Day to perform to the residents and visitors that came in. He sang a selection of songs from pop, musicals and old time sing-a-longs. He had everyone singing along and dancing in their seats and as you can see the residents all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We look forward to Steve coming in again for the homes birthday party next month.
International Flower Day
Today is International Flower Day and what better way to enjoy this than to do flower arranging. The residents really enjoyed creating some beautiful displays for us to put around the home.
International Flower Day promotes the psychological boost that flowers can give people. From growing and nurturing plants and flowers, to gifting flowers to show love and appreciation, and sometimes just the simple act of admiring their beauty - flowers have the power to make someone's day.
Kate from Love to Move class
We really do enjoy when Kate from Love to Move comes to the home for her exercise classes. Exercise here is so much fun and you can see that by the photos but also gave the residents chance to burn off some of those festive treats they had been enjoying over Christmas.
