The dedicated and experienced team are passionate about providing quality care to each individual living at the home.
Hi, my name is Chrissie, and I am the General Manager here at Moors Manor. Welcome to our website!
I am a health and social care professional, with over thirty years' management experience. I share a great passion for care, knowing that no single approach is right for every individual. The early part of my career provided me with the opportunity to support children, young adults and families within children’s services, in both the public and private sector.
In late 2009, I made the first step into healthcare, where I now devote my time, initially as a general home manager. I continued to develop my career in care home management, holding successful positions for several high profile organisations in roles such as Regional Support Manager and Regional Manager. I have worked for Barchester Healthcare previously, and I am delighted to be returning as the General Manager for Moors Manor.
My professional accomplishment include advising, managing and working in a variety of care home setting, as well as lending my skills and experience as an Interim Manager within the sector. In 2020, Igraduated from the Open University, having studied for a BA (Hons) Open Degree in Law, Leadership and Management and Research into Health and Social Care.
I relocated to Hampshire in 2020, and I have three grown up sons. I am the proud owner of an adopted and very funny Greyhound called Billy! When I am not at work, I enjoy travelling, gardening, historical reading, creative writing and scuba diving. I am also a keen amateur musician and I am currently learning to play the saxophone.
I am very much looking forward to welcoming and meeting our new residents, families and staff as they join our Moors Manor community.Get in touch Meet my team
