Activities at Marriott House and Lodge Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Marriott House and Lodge Care Home
New Years Eve Party
An afternoon of singing, poetry, special speech, champagne and themed afternoon tea was enjoyed by many for a special new years eve party! It's not an evening the residents are going to forget anytime soon!
Special Visit at Christmas
St Anthony's School students visited Marriott House and Lodge at Christmas. On the Thursday 10th December, we were lucky enough to have visit from St Anthony’s School who provided us with a beautiful carol concert.
Marriott House and Lodge Joins in with Community Christmas
Marriott House and Lodge Care home along with Community Christmas believe that no elderly person in the UK should be alone at Christmas unless they want to be.
Communities were encouraged to provide companionship to older people over the Christmas period, with this in mind, Marriott House and Lodge Care home opened its doors on Boxing day from 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm. Several individuals visited the home on the day
This was a chance to participate in activities within the home, meet new friends and have some Christmas refreshments. The sessions were a way of forming new friendships and create bonds in the community that last well beyond the single day.
Christmas Day at Marriott House
The residents and some visitors enjoyed a beautiful christmas lunch, followed by Christmas Activities.
Residents and Relatives Christmas Party
On Tuesday 15th December we held the annual residents and relatives Christmas Party. There was magician, special quiz, delicious buffet, lots of laughter and fun!
Alive at Christmas
Craig from Alive is always warmly welcomed to Marriott House and Lodge, his Christmas session was enjoyed by all that attended.
