Activities at Longueville Court Care Home

Our activities coordinators are committed to organising a variety of activities that reflect the interests and capabilities for everybody we support ensuring a person centred approach.

The team have a flexible approach to our programme and we are constantly reviewing and updating our programmes to ensure we cater for everyone's needs and varied abilities.

The activities programme includes regular trips utilising the homes minibus, these include a number of destinations of local interest. We are particularly proud of the relationship we have built with Peterborough Sailability. This registered charity offers the opportunities to those with restricted mobility to enjoy the thrill of sailing on the open water and the sense of independence that brings in specially adapted boats.

Involvement in the local community is something that the whole team are very passionate about and we provide regular visits to a number of different facilities including local schools and churches. These activities also extend too visits from "Pat dogs" and local entertainers to aid in our ongoing quest to give each individual as much support and stimulation as they require.

Friendship Café Launch

This morning we had our first 'Friendship Club' as we joined together with members of the local Dominion Church.

RCCG Dominion Christian Connections is a community where you will find people who worship Jesus and are passionate about spreading His Word. They welcome people who have come together to know Christ and live in his freedom.

It was a great success, our residents enjoyed the groups company and chats. We all loved the homemade cakes they brought to share with us over a nice cup of tea.

Everyone at Longueville would also like to say a massive THANK YOU for the fruit and food hamper donation.

Christmas Colours

Our lovely ladies enjoyed a relaxing hand massage and a manicure today, they were feeling very festive with their new nails as they helped sort our Christmas decorations ready to dress the tree.

Today at Longueville Court, we had the greatest pleasure of welcoming KJ & The Catt (Don), a fantastic singing duo. We all had a really lovely afternoon with our residents as they sang their way through all different genres of music. We can't wait to welcome them back in the future!

Intergenerational Fun!

Today we had a visit from Jo Jingles Peterborough Area who performed one of their amazing intergenerational music and movement sessions at Longueville Court.

Our residents and the visiting children had a fabulous time singing songs and interacting with one another through a room filled with bubbles! We're looking forward to the groups next visit.
