Activities at Longueville Court Care Home

Our activities coordinators are committed to organising a variety of activities that reflect the interests and capabilities for everybody we support ensuring a person centred approach.

The team have a flexible approach to our programme and we are constantly reviewing and updating our programmes to ensure we cater for everyone's needs and varied abilities.

The activities programme includes regular trips utilising the homes minibus, these include a number of destinations of local interest. We are particularly proud of the relationship we have built with Peterborough Sailability. This registered charity offers the opportunities to those with restricted mobility to enjoy the thrill of sailing on the open water and the sense of independence that brings in specially adapted boats.

Involvement in the local community is something that the whole team are very passionate about and we provide regular visits to a number of different facilities including local schools and churches. These activities also extend too visits from "Pat dogs" and local entertainers to aid in our ongoing quest to give each individual as much support and stimulation as they require.

Elvis - The King of Rock & Roll

We celebrated Elvis Presley's birthday this weekend as we used our interactive tablet to watch the king of Rock and Roll. Everybody sang along and our residents were clicking their fingers and tapping their feet to the beat!

Face2Face Quality Time

This week at Longueville we have not only started a new year but also a new programme of providing a better sense of fulfillment for our residents. Our residents mental and physical wellbeing continually fluctuate due to their general health and not everyone can attend group activities, therefore we have started a new activity called 'Face2Face'.

During these sessions with our residents, we will be offering them a more rounded sense of wellbeing and everything will be based around their needs, wishes and interests. As we move forward with this, we hope our staff, residents and their families, see the difference, more interaction can have!

Resident Star of the Week

As we head on into 2023, here at Longueville Court we will be focusing on highlighting some of our lovely residents. This week's star resident is Adrian!

Adrian is on our young disabled community (Robin), although he has several health issues, he has never lost his sense of humour and his smile lights up the room.

Employee of the Week

We would like to say a huge well done to Esther who is our employee of the week. Esther always goes above and beyond for the residents here at Longueville Court. Whether it be hairdressing, namaste or as a carer; Esther always wears a smile!

She is a very positive and outgoing person, loved by her colleagues and the residents alike.
