Activities at Longueville Court Care Home

Our activities coordinators are committed to organising a variety of activities that reflect the interests and capabilities for everybody we support ensuring a person centred approach.

The team have a flexible approach to our programme and we are constantly reviewing and updating our programmes to ensure we cater for everyone's needs and varied abilities.

The activities programme includes regular trips utilising the homes minibus, these include a number of destinations of local interest. We are particularly proud of the relationship we have built with Peterborough Sailability. This registered charity offers the opportunities to those with restricted mobility to enjoy the thrill of sailing on the open water and the sense of independence that brings in specially adapted boats.

Involvement in the local community is something that the whole team are very passionate about and we provide regular visits to a number of different facilities including local schools and churches. These activities also extend too visits from "Pat dogs" and local entertainers to aid in our ongoing quest to give each individual as much support and stimulation as they require.

Yummy Hot Chocolate

It was every chocoholics dream today, as we had lots of different flavoured hot chocolate on offer. We always like to offer our residents and their visitors, as many new and tasty experiences as possible. Today the flavours included caramel, mint and orange all topped off with squirty creme! A few residents thought they were so nice they had a second cup.

Art Club - Watercolours

We are always open to expand our knowledge and experiences, as well as that of our residents. This afternoon we had our first attempt at watercolour painting. It was very interesting to see our residents use their imagination and discover how to use this type of paint, mixing colours together etc. We are sure we have our very own Picassos' in the making!! This is definitely an art medium, we will explore further.

Employee of the Month - January 2023

It was with the greatest of pleasure this afternoon, to have the opportunity to award our employee of the month award to Adina Paduraru, our simply wonderful Deputy Manager.

Enjoying The Afternoon Sun

As the sun was shining this afternoon, we decided to take advantage of the mild weather and go for a lovely long stroll around the village. We even had a few cuddles with a few doggies we met on our travels.

Art Club - Oil Pastels

Our Longueville Court residents had a go at using a new medium during an arts and crafts session; Oil Pastels. We always like our residents to let their imagination run wild and be as creative as they can possibly be, it was very interesting and a learning curve for all.
