Activities at Latimer Court Care Home
Here at Latimer Court, we have a varied social programme that includes themed events once a month, painting classes, day trips out, exercise classes and arts & crafts, to name but a few. We strive to tailor our activities to suit everyone's needs, and update our notice boards weekly so that all families and visitors can see what their loved ones have been up to. Dan Taylor-Edwards
I'm Dan and I'm the Activities Coordinator here at Latimer Court. I joined the team in 2022. I have worked in care for many years as a carer and activities roles, and absolutely love my role here. I love working with the elderly and have a real passion to enrich every day and make their lives as special as they can be.
I have many ideas for group activities and events as well as for individual interactions, and love seeing these ideas coming to life and the difference it makes to each resident's day!

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Latimer Court Care Home
Getting Romantic with Creative Mojo
Our residents enjoyed making decorative symbols of love including glitter and painted hearts for display on Valentine’s Day with our guest activities team from Creative Mojo.
Trip to Worcester Cathedral
Many of our residents took the opportunity to visit the hugely popular Christmas Tree Festival at Worcester Cathedral to view the glittering Christmas trees which lined the medieval cloister created by local businesses, charities, schools and community groups. A spectacular event enjoyed by all.
Cotswold Vale Alpacas visit
What a fantastic day! Our residents were visited by this cute pair of Alpacas from Cotswold Vale; they wondered through the home meeting guests in their rooms and communal areas to spread Christmas cheer. "Cosmo" has been at Latimer Court before and seemed very happy to meet Dorothy again who presented him with a personalised biscuit!
Knit and Natter Christmas Decorations
During December our Knit and Natter group produced some beautiful Christmas tree decorations and hand-made gifts for sale at our Christmas fair.
Fireworks Galore
Residents, resident families and staff all had an amazing time at Latimer Court Care Home as they lit up the skies over Worcester with an amazing Fireworks Spectacular to remember the Guy Fawkes Gunpowder Plot. All who took part had an amazing evening watching the fireworks display whilst enjoying hotdogs, hot casseroles along with warming hot drinks and cakes a plenty.
Everyone who took part had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and welcome a bigger and better display next year in 2020.
