Activities at Kingsland House Care Home
Kingsland House have a variety of activities that our residents help us choose. Celebrating Life in our home is jovial and fun and from our weekly delivered activity sheet, our residents can chose exactly what they want to join in with.
Our activities range from exercise classes, gardening, arts and crafts, games to food-fun clubs. We also offer our in house church services, our own home cinema, our mobile pub - The Kingsland Tavern, visiting Pat Dogs, musical entertainers, minibus outings, theme days and birthday celebrations. For those residents being nursed in their rooms we have one to one activities sessions.
At Kingsland House we believe that activities are hugely important to stimulate and uplift, and getting to know our residents interests and lifestyle choices assist our activities team in creating events and activities to suit their expressed wishes and capabilities. We also encourage our residents' families and friends to join in with as much as they can to make Kingsland House a loving family atmosphere.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Kingsland House Care Home
Our Time Capsule
In 1999 – 19 years ago – we buried a time capsule. With 32 years still to wait until it is opened, we have been thinking about what might be inside it, which has caused quite a stir.
Shoreham Academy Event
We visited our local school for a community event and were treated to a dance composed by students, a round of bingo, tea and cakes, and a selection of Chinese food to try for the Chinese New Year. What a blast we had!
Ladies' Afternoon
We spent the afternoon enjoying tea and cake at Shoreham Airport. We had a giggle and a bit of girly gossip to keep us entertained.
Christmas Party
We hosted a Christmas Party in December – and it was a huge success! There was a delicious buffet and the afternoon went off with a bang, as we sang along to the Christmas show.
November at Kingsland
In November, as the months were getting colder, we focused on remembering those who have did in combat. We had lots of activities themed around this and even made our own poppies.
October at Kingsland
In October, we enjoyed many fun activities, including arts and crafts, live entertainment, baking and church services!
