Port Manor Care Home has been specifically designed to provide high-quality residential care to older people, including individuals living with dementia. The home is set to open in Winter 2024.
We offer care and support in a warm, homely and friendly environment. Our team of qualified and dedicated staff focus on the individual needs of each person, and are committed to providing professional and respectful care, with the residents at the heart of everything they do.
The home has a dedicated area, which we call our Memory Lane Community, offering high quality care for people with dementia. Within our community, memory boxes with small reminders and items, such as photographs, are used to help each person reminisce. Features, such as adapted crockery and tableware, sensory gardens with low risk walkways and activity kitchens also enable people to engage in life's everyday simple tasks and pleasures. Essential to our homely feel is the enhanced relationship of trust we build with family, friends and residents.
Our luxurious facilities combined with highly trained staff ensures that each and every individual is given superior attention. Our 24-hour care is provided in a warm, welcoming environment, with delicious meals and daily activities, including a choice of therapeutic approaches. Together with our lively social calendar, these help to stimulate people’s minds, and empowers them to approach their future in a positive way.
