Activities at Kingsland House Care Home
Kingsland House have a variety of activities that our residents help us choose. Celebrating Life in our home is jovial and fun and from our weekly delivered activity sheet, our residents can chose exactly what they want to join in with.
Our activities range from exercise classes, gardening, arts and crafts, games to food-fun clubs. We also offer our in house church services, our own home cinema, our mobile pub - The Kingsland Tavern, visiting Pat Dogs, musical entertainers, minibus outings, theme days and birthday celebrations. For those residents being nursed in their rooms we have one to one activities sessions.
At Kingsland House we believe that activities are hugely important to stimulate and uplift, and getting to know our residents interests and lifestyle choices assist our activities team in creating events and activities to suit their expressed wishes and capabilities. We also encourage our residents' families and friends to join in with as much as they can to make Kingsland House a loving family atmosphere.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

September Shopping
We have been up to Holmbush Centre for a spot of shopping and stopped off for some cheeky cake along the way.
Mayberry Garden Centre
We enjoyed a spot of tea and cake at Mayberry Garden Centre – oh, and a bit of shopping too!
Open Day
On the 18th August, Kingsland House opened its doors to show off its wonderful home. Residents and visitors were treated to a lovely buffet and plenty of cakes! We were proud to show our home to everyone who visited us!
Summer Fête
On 10th August, we enjoyed our fantastic Summer Fête. It was great to see so many families and friends joining us, despite the rainy weather! Everyone was treated to a delicious BBQ, live entertainment and lots of ice crea from a vintage ice cream trike. A great day was had by all!
Early Harvest
Whilst watering our plants, we noticed a few of our crops were ready for picking!
We are now 10-60-06 accredited!
Kingsland House has achieved accreditation for a new standard of dementia care after taking part in a 10 month pilot trialling a new programme developed by dementia care specialists at Barchester.
The 10-60-06 dementia programme will replace Barchester's current dementia care programme in order to ensure that the care services provided by our Memory Lane communities for people living with dementia are the best in the sector.
