Activities at Hampton Grove Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Congratulations on 5-Star Rating

This week our staff and residents celebrated the home receiving a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating by the local authority.

The achievement is the highest rating a care home can receive from an Environmental Health officer, and shows the home has complied with all the statutory obligations; showing outstanding food hygiene standards.

General Manager, Krzysztof Krzysztofiak commented “Following the unannounced inspection, we’re extremely pleased to have been awarded 5-stars for our food hygiene. Achieving the highest possible standard is incredibly important, and I’m so proud of the Hospitality team at Hampton Grove.

The team work incredibly hard to provide our residents with irresistible cuisine, prepared with only the very best fresh, seasonal produce, and based on the individual tastes of the people we support. They are being recognised for their continued hard work in maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness standards in our kitchen.”

Food hygiene ratings are an inspection given to a food business that reflects the standards of food hygiene found on the date of inspection or visit by the local authority.

The ratings assess:

- How hygienically food is handled – prepared, cooked, reheated, cooled and stored.
- The cleanliness of a business, including taking into consideration layout and ventilation.
- How food records are managed.

Our Queens Birthday Celebrations

Happy Birthday 'Your Majesty' from all at Hampton Grove care home.

Today the residents and staff celebrated our Queen's 96th Birthday in style, having an afternoon tea in her honour with birthday cake and flavored cup cakes cooked by our very creative Chef and hospitality team.

Queen Elizabeth II made a guest appearance (albeit in cardboard) which made the whole day even more special.

Fun in the Garden

The Spring sunshine has the Hampton Grove residents and staff enjoying some fun exercises. We all love spending time in our gardens and the homemade tyre planters appear to have 'multi-gym' use!
