Activities at Cherry Blossom Manor Care Home

Activities at Cherry Blossom Manor are delivered using the whole home approach, where there is never a dull moment. Our Activities team take great care to make sure that our residents, resident’s families and staff’s physical, mental, and social well-being are taken into account. Whether it is a group session or a personal-centred activity you can be certain it is meeting a need.

We have our regular activities such as Scrabble Club, Bingo, Zumba, Gardening Club, Movie Time, family support meetings, Residents meetings and many more. We are also known for our theme days where the whole home likes to dress up. We have even been known in the past to go for a drive in the minibus in our costumes!

A Generous Donation

This is just one piece of equipment that has been donated by our lovely community, which has allowed us to make our Roses lounge into a gym for our more abled residents.

Care Awards Celebration

Residents and staff celebrated with Alison Mather, the Regional Winner of Administrator of the Year award for the Barchester Care Awards 2020.

The tags on the bottle were a special gift from Sassy Steve, a caricaturist who used to visit the residents and staff occasionally. On hearing that Ali, one of his favourite Administrators, had won a Care Award, Sassy Steve immediately got on board for her Surprise celebrations. With help from the homes lifestyle team, Steve drew a picture of Ali and bailey, incorporating her favourite time of year: Halloween.

Pamper Afternoon

With hairdressers and beauticians not allowed at the home, staff come in on their day off to give a little pampering session. The residents were thrilled and really enjoyed the surprise.

National Fish & Chip Day

Residents had lots of fun celebrating National Fish & Chip Day here at Cherry Blossom Manor.

,

Game Day

Nothing like a little competition to bring on the smiles and giggles with a day of games.

Green Fingers

Residents have been busy putting their magical green fingers to use whilst enjoying the sunshine.
