Activities at Cherry Blossom Manor Care Home

Activities at Cherry Blossom Manor are delivered using the whole home approach, where there is never a dull moment. Our Activities team take great care to make sure that our residents, resident’s families and staff’s physical, mental, and social well-being are taken into account. Whether it is a group session or a personal-centred activity you can be certain it is meeting a need.

We have our regular activities such as Scrabble Club, Bingo, Zumba, Gardening Club, Movie Time, family support meetings, Residents meetings and many more. We are also known for our theme days where the whole home likes to dress up. We have even been known in the past to go for a drive in the minibus in our costumes!

Life at Cherry Blossom Manor Care Home

Cake Decorating

Residents got busy decorating cakes for their cake stall to be held at their summer fete.

Masterclass in Crafts

We recently spent the afternoon taking part in a masterclass crafting session, where residents made a selection of arts and crafts to sell at our Summer Fete in late July. The final pieces were amazing!

Flower Fun in the Sun

With all the great weather we have been having, our residents have spent a lot of time enjoying our beautiful gardens. We recently spent one afternoon walking around the grounds, looking at all the wonderful flowers on display with some of our residents even naming the flowers.

,

Accessible Boating

Residents were delighted to be back on the canal with our friends at Accessible Boating. Not only did we enjoy seeing the crew; we also fell in love with this year’s ducklings. While on board we had a picnic and a quiz on nature. Residents even had a chance to steer the boat.

Outdoor Decorating

Residents got involved with the upkeep of our gardens by helping to paint our summer house.

The Queen's Birthday

Residents celebrated the Queen’s Birthday with an afternoon tea and a quiz.
