Ashcombe House Care Home in Basingstoke

Ashcombe House provides 24-hour nursing care services for older people in need of long term, respite care or post-operative care. We have strong links with local health providers and can take a multi-disciplinary approach to care and care planning, involving the individual and their family. 

A variety of activities are available to all residents and our award-winning chef provides delicious meals based on individual resident’s likes and dislikes. Located near the town centre of Basingstoke, we are situated in a quiet location where the residents are able to enjoy the outdoors and our beautiful garden.

Acting General Manager

Hello, my name is Fatmata (but everyone calls me 'Fatima'), and I am the Deputy Manager acting as General Manager here at Ashcombe House.

I joined Barchester in 2015 and have worked my way up to this position, starting as an RGN. I have a degree in Management and an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management. 

I have a passion for helping residents and staff reach their full potential. I am honest and approachable and love what I do. The staff at Ashcombe make me very proud, as they work with their hearts, and we are one big family.

Hi, my name is Karina and I am the Administrator here at Ashcombe House.

I joined the home in November 2017 as a Care Assistant before joining the activities team. Because of my previous experience in admin roles, I jumped at the chance to take on this new position.

My door is always open and I will always make time for a chat and cuppa with residents, visitors and fellow staff members.

After passing my exams in plumbing, I worked for different construction sites in various different fields before moving into resident maintenance in Bickenhall Mansions in central London. I then moved to Basingstoke and started working at Reading University in student accommodation before coming to Ashcombe House in August 2017. 

I enjoy the diverse jobs and like talking to residents.

Head Housekeeper, Juliana, can be seen with her housekeeping team: Khim, Agness, Irs and Naanda. They all love working at Ashcombe House, ensuring that they maintain a clean environment for residents. They are a friendly and happy team who love their jobs. They enjoy getting to know the residents and always spend time chatting to them whilst they are cleaning the home.
