Activities at Challoner House Care Home

Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

Scrabble Club

We do love a good game of Scrabble – and so do the children from Merdon Junior School. We spent an evening playing games and had a little competition between the teams. Scrabble? Bring it on!

Double Party!

We celebrated both Freda and Joyce's birthdays together – and Freda has just turned 102! The birthday girls attended a flower arranging workshop with Zuzi from 'Stay With It' and all the guests had a chance to learn about different types of flowers, how to arrange them and how to take care of them. We also had a quiz and a singalong!

Scottish Crafts

Residents had a superb time designing their own Tartan plate mats for Burns Night. We had Scottish music, a quiz and traditional haggis. What a great day!
