Snowdrop Place Care Home in Botley, Southampton
Our newest care home in Botley, Southampton will be opening its doors in early 2021.
Snowdrop Place is a beautiful home, designed specifically to support people living with dementia and those who require residential care. The care home has fantastic facilities, such as a cinema, an activities café, a gorgeous salon and 4 spa bathrooms. We are fortunate enough to have a Magic table here so that all our residents, but specifically our residents living with dementia, can engage in an extraordinary interactive experience.
Snowdrop Place is in a quiet setting close to the local bowls club. It is ideally situated between Botley Village and Hedge End Village; both areas offer a range of shops, places to eat and other amenities and transport links. There are some great local businesses in both villages. With close links to the M27, Snowdrop Place is easy to access from further areas.
As a Barchester home, our experienced and compassionate staff will work hard to ensure care is tailored the needs of each resident. Many of our staff are responsible for instilling our values of respect and dignity. Our person-centred approach will be reflected across all aspects of life within the home.
Our passion for our home will be seen in everything we do: in our cooking, hospitality, housekeeping and, of course, in organising activities for our residents. Activities make up the most important part of all our days and, at Snowdrop Place, we will provide a variety that reflects the interests and capabilities of all the ladies and gentlemen we support.

The dedicated and experienced team are passionate about providing quality care to each individual living at the home.
Hi, my name is Sarah and I am the General Manager here at Snowdrop Place. Welcome to our website!
I have worked within the care sector since 1991 and I am very passionate about my role and responsibilities. Right from the beginning, I knew that this was where I belonged.
My career began as a Care Assistant in a small residential home, and I worked my way up to Senior and then Deputy Manager. After spending 26 years in this one home, I decided it was time to spread my wings and was lucky enough to be offered a Deputy Manager position in a much larger residential home. It was only a matter of weeks before I was promoted to General Manager and I devoted the next 15 months to improving the home and leading and developing the team.
Over the years, I have completed an array of training and qualifications up to and including an NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care, and I continually look for ways I can improve my knowledge, skills and my own personal development.
I joined Barchester in July 2018 as the General Manager of The Fernes, and I really enjoyed getting to know the company, my home, my staff team, the residents and their families and friends. I spent just over two years there as the General Manager before transferring to Snowdrop Place in November 2020 before the home's opening.
I aim to ensure, as a team, that we deliver a high standard of person-centred care to those we support, placing them at the heart of everything we do and meeting individual needs with the passion and commitment they deserve.
I am very proud of everything I have achieved, but one of my greatest accomplishments is improving one of my previous home's CQC ratings from 'Requires Improvement' to 'Good' in all 5 KLOE’s within 10 months of commencing my employment.
I feel honoured to have spent my entire career doing what I love the most and feel that there is nothing more rewarding than going home at the end of the day knowing you have made a difference to a person’s life.Get in touch Meet my team
