Activities at Challoner House Care Home

Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

Pancake Day

We invited the community to join us on our 'Pancake Day' for delicious homemade pancakes and entertainment with Amanda Parsons. Everyone had a great time singing, dancing and savoring the pancakes with their favourite toppings. Yummmm!

Can you play your cards right?

Can you play your cards right?

Cilla certainly knows how! She is now in our record's book! Not an easy task, but she did it. Well done, Cilla!

Bingo!

Bingo!

We play bingo every Wednesday afternoon. The room is always full and everyone is sure to have a great time! Of course, there's always lots of tea and cake for people to help themselves to.

Scrabble Club

We do love a good game of Scrabble – and so do the children from Merdon Junior School. We spent an evening playing games and had a little competition between the teams. Scrabble? Bring it on!
