Activities at Challoner House Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

Life at Challoner House Care Home
Summer Day
Irene, a resident at Challoner House, enjoyed a trip to the local shops. She had a cup of tea and a delicious cake in Waitrose. On our way back, we walked home looking at all the lovely summer flowers in the gardens.
Pet Therapy
Residents enjoyed making a fuss of a visitor's dog. It's always nice to see them interact with animals.
Alzheimer Cake Sale
Staff members and residents of Challoner House had a cake sale to support the Alzheimer Society. They had a very successful day and raised £104.62 for the Society. Everyone enjoyed the sweet treats and delicious cakes.
Church Coffee Morning
Irene and Joyce attended a coffee morning at our local church. They enjoyed looking around St Boniface Church, especially at the Easter flower display.
Open Day Activities
Residents enjoyed one-to-one Easter card making as part of our open day activities on 6th April.
Feeling Floral
Residents enjoyed a morning of flower arranging anfd singing with Zuzi.
