Activities at Challoner House Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Carers Week
Our home celebrated Carers Week with sweet treats and certificates given out to all care staff.
Thank You Banner
Our residents enjoyed helping to create this wonderful thank you banner for all our local community, for their very generous donations during lockdown. Thank you!
Beauty Sessions
During lockdown we have been able to still offer hairdressing sessions as our activity co-ordinator, Sophie, is also a fully qualified hairdresser. Residents are enjoying the sessions.
Gardening Project
Our resident, Pat, really enjoyed getting her hands dirty potting her favourite flowers sweet peas and pansies, they certainly bring a splash of colour to our courtyard.
Happy birthday, Diana!
Residents and staff enjoyed an afternoon of celebration for Senior Nurse, Diana’s, birthday. All the staff clubbed together to buy some lovely gifts!
Queen's Birthday Tea
Residents enjoyed a celebration tea for thequeen’s birthday in the garden with prosecco and fresh cakes and ice cream!
