Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

I started working at Bushey House Beaumont in 2022 in an activities role that I absolutely love. There are very few jobs that offer the daily satisfaction and fulfilment that mine does. I am delighted to be able to play my part in helping to bring joy and laughter into our residents’ daily lives and offer them an interesting choice of events to do just that.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Singing and dancing at Bushey House.
Bushey House Beaumont had a wonderful afternoon of entertainment when Maurice came to sing and play for us.
He sang all our favorite songs and we sang along too. There was plenty of dancing too.

The Bushey House Lunch Club.
What a fantastic afternoon we had at the Bushey House Lunch club. Members from our local community joined residents for an afternoon of delicious food and great company.
Residents and guests met in the library and enjoyed a pre lunch sherry.
Head Chef Avni and his team cooked up a delicious 3 course meal accompanied by wine. Martin resident at Bushey House arranged a quiz about the local area and there was an opportunity to win prizes.

New yoga classes at Bushey House.
Residents and team member's at Bushey House Beaumont had their first seated Yoga session with Hatha Yoga teacher Jude Bernberg. and it was a great success.
Lifestyle coordinator Tina set the ambience with candles, meditative music and essential oils. Jude took us through a beautiful yoga practice which she adapted to each residents mobility.
We really enjoyed the session, it was both invigorating and relaxing and cant wait until our next session.

Watford Football Club are coming to Bushey House.
Residents and team members at Bushey House Beaumont are really looking forward to a session with The Watford Football Club Community Sports and Education Trust.
The golden memories team from Watford FC Wellbeing will be joining us on Tuesday 8th December at 11am for a reminiscence journey through the decades using football history and music to evoke memories and an opportunity to share stories and experiences.

In loving memory of the Queen.
In honour of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Bushey House Beaumont took the time to commemorate her and pay our tributes to the Royal Family.
In loving memory of the Queen, we arranged our own Memorial Area with candles and photos of the Queen, where staff, residents, families and friends can visit.
Residents and Tina from our lifestyle created a book of photos of the Queen, residents and staff have written condolences messages, shared their memories and comments of gratitude. Once completed we will send this beautiful book to the Royal Family to show our support.
For many of our residents, the Queen represented comfort, hope and peace over the past seven decades of her sovereignty, and she will be sorely missed.
