Activities at Broadway Halls Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Hi I'm Scott, and I am thrilled to be the Activities Coordinator at Broadway Halls. Our residents are special people with many wonderful stories to tell about their lives, I enjoy putting smiles on their faces as often as I can. I love to 'entertain' and aim to ensure that every resident's interests and hobbies are supported. I have worked in care and in activities in previous roles, and I love my job!

Helping Prepare Gardens for Spring

Stan has been busy helping Shane, Maintenance Manager, prepare our gardens for Spring & Summer.  They have been busy planting seeds in the borders, the birds had a lovely feast on our new seeds!!

Indoor Visits Bring Joy

Families and residents have been so happy to be reunited and be able to chat and hold hands for the first time in a year.  It is wonderful to be able to welcome our families back in our home.

Reminiscing Afternoon

Another lovely afternoon on Memory Lane, taking a step back in time with these novelty pencil sharpeners . They brought back some wonderful memories for our residents and a good time was had by all

Jean Enjoys her Special Birthday

Jean enjoyed her 90th Birthday celebrations filled with gifts, cake, laughter and Skype calls with her family.  Happy Birthday Jean with love from all the team!

Visiting Room a Welcome Addition

Our lovely visiting room is open, families can book in advance to come and see & chat to their loved ones.  The intercom system supports communication, we are so pleased we can offer this.

Remembrance Weekend

What a wonderful touching Remembrance Weekend.  Marco Longhi MP visited us with military personnel, the jeep was dressed in poppy's and so was our home. Residents enjoyed the spectacle, some from the garden and others from the warm staying inside the home.

Don't Dine Alone - Every Wednesday

We are inviting local older people to join us for lunch on Wednesday's, from 12.30 - 2pm. Enjoy company and a nutritious meal. Booking is essential, so please call: 01384 215190
