Edgbaston Beaumont Care Community
Edgbaston Beaumont Care Home in Birmingham
Here at the Edgbaston Beaumont, we provide a range of accommodation and services, from luxury apartments for independent living, to the main house, which offers person-centered residential and nursing care services. Having only 30 residents, the home is very small and has a distinctly personal and homely feel. Our highly skilled and compassionate staff work hard to provide a quality, personalised service to each resident.
All of our independent living properties are self-contained and residents have the option of taking advantage of the additional care and support services available in the main home, including meals and participation in activities. Edgbaston Beaumont supports an independent, socially active lifestyle, with the added reassurance that our care assistants are close at hand should you need them.
Located near to New Street Station, the Bullring and Harborne, Edgbaston Beaumont has easy access to local amenities and excellent transports links. When organising day trips, we are conveniently located close to the Botanical Gardens, Cannon Hill Park, theatres and shops, and the infamous Cadbury World. Yet despite its convenient city centre location, the Edgbaston Beaumont is set in beautiful leafy gardens, and is very quiet and peaceful.

Types of care
We provide person-centred nursing care services for older people in need of support as well as resdential care. We also offer accommodation and support for those looking for assisted living. It is important to us that our care services are delivered in a way that celebrates each person’s individuality and helps them to maintain as much independence as possible, so we tailor our services to meet the unique needs of each person. This could include personal one-to-one time with staff members when needed, regular visits from a chiropodist or just adhering to special dietary requirements. Our current rating of 9.5 on carehome.co.uk shows just how pleased residents and loved ones are with our care services.

Carolyn Clegg
Hi, my name is Carolyn, and I am the General Manager here at Edgaston. Welcome to our website!
I have been working within the care sector since 2009. I started my career as a healthcare assistant on an intensive care unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. Here I found my love for nursing and took the leap back into the education system, where I attended university and gained my BSC Hons Nursing Degree.
I have worked in various nursing fields, which is where I discovered my love for caring for older adults, and I have acquired tremendous knowledge and understanding of the care sector. I have gained valuable insight into both the challenges and the rewards of delivering high standards of quality and person-centred care.
My Barchester journey started as a Registered Nurse within a nursing home setting caring for older adults with dementia and complex care needs. I was then promoted to Clinical Development Nurse, where I was responsible for looking after 10 Barchester homes, ensuring high standards of care and staff development were being delivered, maintaining the best possible experience for our residents.
I began my transition through the General Manager pathway as acting GM in a 30-bedded nursing home. It was such a positive experience and I enjoyed how my vision and values could be translated throughout the rest of the team and positively influence the care provided; and so I was honoured to be able to become the registered manager here at Field House.
As General Manger, my aim is to ensure that my team continue to deliver a high standard of person-centred care to our residents, ensuring they are at the heart of everything we do!
