Fountains Care Home in Shirley, Solihull
Fountains, our newest premium care home in Solihull, will be opening its doors in Spring 2020. With luxury and comfort perfectly balanced, Fountains will be a stunning asset to the community, delivering bespoke, person-centred residential care, in addition to high quality support for those living with dementia.
The home has a modern, light design and features a cinema, a private dining space, communal spa baths, adapted cutlery and a personalised activities programme. It is set in stunning landscaped gardens with sensory facilities and low risk walk ways to accommodate individuals with dementia, raised beds to encourage residents to enjoy the outdoor space and a rooftop terrace to relax and unwind in the finer weather.
Our chef will provide nutritious and delicious food served in beautiful surroundings, and our own minibus will offer excursions as part of a person-centred activities programme. The home will also be a community hub to connect residents to their neighbours and to promote inclusion and involvement for everyone nearby.
Fountains will have its own Memory Lane Community with specialist dementia care and the latest technology—a 'Magic Table'—to provide sensory engagement. The table is an interactive light projector—a unique piece of technology designed to promote mental and physical stimulation through specialised games.
Fountains will be a home from home experience, where residents' needs are met with love, respect and consideration, with the focus being on what our residents 'can do' and empowering people to retain their independence.
The home is situated on the site that was known for 30 years as 'Shirley Aquatics' and is within walking distance of Nottcuts, Shirley Golf Centre, The Plough (Beefeater) and The Harvester, as well as Tesco, and it also runs along the X20 bus route.

Hi, my name is Jacqui, and I am the General Manager here at Fountains. Welcome to our website!
I have worked for various leading healthcare providers over the years, starting my journey working as a carer. I have progressed with organizations, managing both Nursing/Dementia and Residential/Dementia homes, to supporting a region of 9 homes across central England. I have a passion for delivering great care and love to encourage those around me, in order that as a team we can be the best and deliver the best for our ladies and gentleman that live in our homes.
For me, resident first is a must, and I’m really excited that Barchester as a company embrace and share my values. I love being able to make a difference, seeing a smile on a face just melts my heart.Get in touch Meet my team
