Fountains Care Home in Shirley, Solihull
Our new care home in Shirley will be opening in Spring 2020, and has been specifically designed to provide high-quality residential care to older people, including individuals living with dementia.
The home will provide excellent residential care in a warm and friendly environment. Our trained team of professionals will work together to create the best possible experience for those living in the home, striving to deliver excellent care services at all times.
The home's dedicated Memory Lane community will provide high-quality care for people living with dementia. Within our community, memory boxes with small reminders and items, such as photographs, will be used to help each person reminisce. Certain features, including adapted crockery and tableware, sensory gardens with low risk walkways and activity kitchens, will also enable people to engage in life's everyday simple tasks and pleasures to help them feel like they're right at home. Essential to our homely feel will be the enhanced relationship of trust we build with family, friends and residents.
Our luxurious facilities, combined with highly trained staff, will ensure each and every individual can enjoy some quality one-to-one time when needed. 24-hour care will be provided in a warm, welcoming environment, with delicious meals and daily activities, including a choice of therapeutic activities. Our varied and stimulating activities programme will encourage those we support to stay active, both physically and mentally.

The dedicated and experienced team are passionate about providing quality care to each individual living at the home.
My role involves supporting residents and their families during the initial process of moving into Fountains. I understand how difficult this transition can be, and I am always happy to meet people to tell them more about our care & services to help make it a little easier. I am proud to be a Dementia Champion for the Alzheimer’s Society, and I also network with the local community to make contacts who will benefit residents and bring additional events and activities into our home.Get in touch Meet my team
