Activities at Braeburn Lodge Care Home
Our dedicated activities team are constantly dreaming up new and wonderful ways to support and stimulate the residents we look after. From trips to crafts, parties to skittles, musical performances and quizzes, we include something for everyone and pride ourselves on including everyone into the fun. We have a brilliant team of volunteers who help us to deliver more trips, support us at events and pop in for a cup of tea and chat. We have pet therapy at least once per week (sometimes twice!) and we take advantage of every school break by holding large scale events that we can invite families with children to. We have been developing ties with our neighbours since we first opened and thanks to this, we have successfully brought together our residents with local churches, choirs, Brownies groups, and schools. Whatever your interests are, here at Braeburn, there's something for everyone.
Dee Tugluer
My name is Dee Tugluer and I am the Activities Coordinator for Braeburn Lodge. I have been working in the care sector for almost a year and half. Prior to my job in the home I worked in the design sector and marketing for over twenty years. I also took a short break from my career to take care of my children and did so some volunteer work for my local community, schools and charities.
I really enjoy working for Braeburn as I have built a good relationship with all our residents. I love to make everyone feel happy and content, and get excited to plan and implement a beneficial Life Enrichment programme for our home.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Braeburn Lodge Care Home
Christmas Party
We had a lovely afternoon at the hands of Trudi Mason, our fabulous keyboardist and vocalist, as we danced the afternoon away to our favourite songs and enjoyed fresh mulled wine and mince pies, ending the afternoon on our raffle draw.
A Chilly Day Out
We braved the icy weather to do a spot of Christmas shopping and were rewarded with fantastic, hot cappuccinos.
Tai Chi Sessions
With Christmas soon approaching, we had a lovely decorated room in which to do our monthly Tai Chi exercise with Ray Pawlett. We look forward to seeing Ray again in the new year for twice monthly sessions.
Deeping Baptist Church
We were graced with the presence of members of the Deeping Baptist Church over the Christmas period who joined in with a lovely carol service.
Caterpillar Nursery
Caterpillar Nursery came to visit residents for songs and mince pies on a chilly winter morning. It was delightful seeing the little ones having so much fun.
Essex Road
Our final trip of the year to Essex Road Community Centre went off with a festive bang as we danced and sang with Jeremy and our friends from Stamford. We had a fabulous time singing along to classic Christmas songs and were thoroughly exhausted from all of our dancing!
