Jane Lee
General Manager
Hi, my name is Jane, and I am the General Manager here at Braeburn Lodge. Welcome to our website!
I have been working in different roles since the home opened in 2014 and, more recently, as the Deputy Manager and then as Acting General Manager. I am looking forward to supporting the team to deliver the very best care and life enrichment to all our residents.
We have built a very strong community engagement team at the home and have fantastic local support, which has enabled the home to establish robust community connections.
Braeburn Lodge is a beautiful home with a kind and friendly staff team. We are looking forward to welcoming new residents and visitors to the home so they can experience a warm and friendly welcome.

Suzanne Reynolds
Deputy Manager
Hi, I am Suzanne, I've been a part of the Braeburn family since 2017 and I am the Deputy Manager here at the home.
I started my journey at the home as a nurse before becoming the head of community.
Suzanne takes great satisfaction from her role knowing she is making a real difference in peoples lives.
Away from the home she is a huge animal lover and loves to travel.

Karen Stratton
Clinical Lead
I am a registered nurse and I also have an ENB teaching qualification. I have always worked in the health and social care since qualifying as a nurse. I have held varied positions during my career, including Senior Nurse, Registered Manager and, most recently, Clinical Lead. I have worked for Barchester since 2018.

Ewa Chmiel
Nurse
Hi, my name is Ewa. I've been a part of the Braeburn Lodge since 2014 when the home opened and I am a Nurse here at Braeburn Lodge.
Away from the home she is a mother and enjoys making memories with her sons and going back home to spend time with her family.

Mark Shelton
Customer Relationship Manager
Mark has been a part of the Barchester family since 2014.
Having come into the company as a Care Assistant, later a Senior Carer, he then moved onto Activities, becoming Senior Activities for the North Yorkshire area and now as a Customer Relationship Manager.
Marks passion has always been found in wanting to better the lives our residents and to help them find and enjoy new experiences. taking great pride in supporting our homes and being there for our residents and families.
Within his role Mark supports our home with Community Engagement, building relationships with groups and charities in the area and supporting our wonderful activities teams with their home events.

Yasmine Dawson
Activities Coordinator
I have worked at Braeburn Lodge since 2015. I started working as a carer and the activities side of the role really appealed to me. We organise a variety of activities to suit everybody’s preferences and abilities. I enjoy working at Braeburn and making a difference to the residents’ lives.

Philip Reeves
Head of Maintenance
My name is Phil and I have been Head of Maintenance since 2021 here at Braeburn Lodge. I take great pride and pleasure in helping our residents
Feel comfortable in their home. I ensure that all my Health and Safety aspects of the home are kept up to Barchester’s High Standards, and that all maintenance requests are acted on promptly.
I always take time to talk and listen to our residents, to make sure they have everything they need to be happy within the home and gardens. I thoroughly enjoy working for Braeburn Lodge and Barchester as I regard them as my extended family.

Jade Young
Activities Coordinator
Jade has been a part of the Braeburn family since 2017 starting as a Senior Carer, then Team Leader before becoming part of our home activities team.
She speaks warmly about the family feel of the home, not just with her colleagues but also with the homes residents. Jade has a real passion for supporting those living with dementia and says how incredibly rewarding the activities role is.
Away from the home, Jade enjoys spending time and making new memories with her children, she loves cats having 4 of them as pets: Chester, Binky, Chunky and Wispa.

Jane Prentice
Lead Nurse
Hi, my name is Jane and I joined the home in 2015 when the home opened, and I am a Senior Nurse here at Braeburn Lodge.
Becoming a nurse has been Jane's lifelong passion and she can't see herself ever being in any other role.
Jane loves music in particular 70's rock and listening to AC/DC.

Debbie Hanton
Head of Community
Debbie joined the Braeburn family in 2015 and started as a Senior Carer and then progressed to Team Leader, for her fantastic team spirit and commitment to the residents.
She is now proud to be the one of the homes heads of the community.

Philippa Lincoln

My name is Philippa and I am a Senior Health Care Assistant here at Braeburn Lodge. I chose to work in Care after a very different career!
This was because I wanted to make a tangible difference to people’s lives.

Francesca Marini
Home Administrator
My name is Francesca and I am the Home Administrator at Braeburn Lodge. I have been working in the care sector since I was sixteen years old. I started my journey from Domiciliary Care before moving onto Nursing homes.
I love traveling and have visited several places over the years. I still have a bucket list of places I would like to visit, especially Cape Verde.

Marcin Szpak
Head Chef
I joined Barchester in 2021 and came to work at Braeburn Lodge in February 2023 and it’s a pleasure to cook for our wonderful residents and team. Inspired by my Mum’s homemade cooking, I started my career as a Chef at the age of 18. I enjoy the challenges of this career and I ensure a person-centred approach to all of our residents, taking care to prepare home-comfort food to their individual needs and preferences.

Ellie Fuller
Care Asssitant
Ellie joined the home in 2022 and is a much valued member of our care team at Braeburn Lodge.
She speaks passionately about how much she loves to care for others, giving to others and how rewarding her role is. In particular supporting those who are living with dementia.
Away from the home Ellie loves to spend time with her beautiful black Labrador, Marcie, going for long walks together.

Julie Milne
Housekeeper
Julie has been a member of the Braeburn Lodge family since 2015 and makes up part of our proud team of housekeepers.
She is incredibly passionate about her role and says that the team is like a second family and she speaks about how much she loves coming to work.
Away from the home Julie is a huge animal lover and adores hedgehogs, birds and sitting amongst them in her garden,
