Activities at Bluebell Park Care Home
Here at Bluebell Park our aim is to enrich the lives of our residents, through group, and individual activities.
We have a wide range of activities designed to mentally, and physically stimulate the people we care for, including regular trips out in the mini bus, and taking part in the community led events that happen in the village we live in. We hold monthly resident meetings so our planning reflects their wishes, and requests, for example we now hold a regular bingo club (which residents families love to attend) and a bowling afternoon which the gentlemen here particularly enjoy. Entertainers and musicians regularly come into the home and families and friends are always welcome to attend too.
Activities are one of the most important aspects of our care home, and we strive to have a full range on offer. Our team here at Bluebell are dedicated to ensuring our residents enjoy, and get as much out of our entertainment as possible. It is without a doubt our mission is to make sure that life at Bluebell is active, fun, and most of all happy.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Bluebell Park Care Home
Christmas Raffle Donations
Thank you to staff, residents, loved ones and local businesses for donating these wonderful prizes for our Christmas raffle. We are selling many tickets and all the money will go straight towards the residents' fund.
Bollywood Dancing
Residents and staff enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of Bollywood dancing with Rani. We also enjoyed authentic Indian snacks that were made by our very own Kitchen Assistant, Dalbir.
Bonfire Night Preparations
The residents of Bluebell Park have been making their own Guy Fawkes. They have had great fun making this in the activity room and this has now taken pride of place in the reception.
Wear it Pink Day
Staff and residents joined together to raise money for Breast Cancer Research by wearing pink for the day.It certainly brightened up the day whilst raising money for such an important cause.
Animal Magic
Residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon with 'fluffy' animals when Wild Science visited us. We were joined by rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and a chinchilla. This was a great opportunity for the residents to hold and pet the animals.
Summer Fête
The sun shone down on us during our Summer Fête.
The proceedings commenced with a resident officially opening the fête, followed by families and residents enjoying the tombola, hook-a-duck, tin can alley and food freshly prepared by our Chef. We also enjoyed singing entertainment from Neil Richardson.
We raised £406, which is a fantastic total. Thank you to everyone who came to support us.
