Activities at Bluebell Park Care Home

Here at Bluebell Park our aim is to enrich the lives of our residents, through group, and individual activities.

We have a wide range of activities designed to mentally, and physically stimulate the people we care for, including regular trips out in the mini bus, and taking part in the community led events that happen in the village we live in. We hold monthly resident meetings so our planning reflects their wishes, and requests, for example we now hold a regular bingo club (which residents families love to attend) and a bowling afternoon which the gentlemen here particularly enjoy. Entertainers and musicians regularly come into the home and families and friends are always welcome to attend too.

Activities are one of the most important aspects of our care home, and we strive to have a full range on offer. Our team here at Bluebell are dedicated to ensuring our residents enjoy, and get as much out of our entertainment as possible. It is without a doubt our mission is to make sure that life at Bluebell is active, fun, and most of all happy.

Life at Bluebell Park Care Home

Easter Baking

Easter Baking

Residents spent a lovely morning making and decorating a cake in preparation for Easter. They helped with the design, mixing and creating. Unfortunately, it didn't quite make it to Easter, as it was gone by the end of the day.

Hats Off

Hats Off

We were entertained by Partytime Productions, who put on a fantastic Easter show. There was lots of laughing and singing from all the residents, as they remembered well-known songs that were performed.

Happy Hens

Happy Hens

We made the most of the spring weather this week and took some of our residents to Happy Hens where they had a lovely walk around the farm, fed the hens and enjoyed a picnic. I think this particular hen was lucky to escape with its life!!

Time for a Cuppa

Time for a Cuppa

We held a cake and coffee afternoon in aid of Dementia UK and raised £33.63 for this great charity.

We all had the chance to enjoy homemade cakes made by staff and relatives, and it was lovely just to sit and chat about days gone by.

Garden Centre Trip

Garden Centre Trip

We took some residents out in the minibus to one of our local garden centres, where they had coffee and cake. Whilst there, they had a look around the pet centre, and absolutely loved it, especially the fish part, as you can tell by this fantastic smile.

Pancake Day

Pancake Day

Residents have spent Shrove Tuesday making their own pancakes and cooking them in our lifestyle kitchens. Great fun was had by all, and we all especially loved choosing our own toppings.
