Activities at Beaufort Grange Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Lynnett Heron
Hello I am Lynnett and I am the Activities Coordinator at Beaufort Grange. My job is a big part of my life, and I thrive on seeing residents smiling and having fun. I'm very outgoing with an infectious personality and have an incredible bond with many of our residents and their families. Our activities program ranges from arts & crafts, live music, gardening, trips out, walks and so much more.
As a team we are committed to Barchester's Life Enrichment programme ensuring we work with mind, body and soul.

Divisional Carer of the Year
Congratulations to Antoneta Burgess, who has been named as a Divisional Winner in the 2020 Barchester Care Awards. Antoneta is a finalist in the Carer of the Year category and has been invited to attend a virtual awards ceremony on 8th October, where she will find out if she has won overall.
VE Day Celebrations
We celebrated VE Day by painting some Union Jack flags specially for the occasion.
World Chocolate Day
Residents at Beaufort Grange in Bristol revelled in all things sweet on World Chocolate Day with a range of chocolatey activities on Tuesday 7th July.
Staff helped residents make chocolate bars and we decorated them with all our favourite chocolate treats.
Residents voted on their favourite version of the film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory – Gene Wilder or Johnny Depp? The original 1971 version won the vote, which residents enjoyed watching.
Royal Celebrations
For the Queen’s birthday, we had a special visit from the lady herself. We enjoyed taking photos and playing games with Her Royal Highness, and enjoyed a homemade cake fit for the Queen from our talented chef, Julie.
Carers Day
Beaufort Grange held a day of celebrations and gifts to thank care staff at the home who make a real difference to the lives of those in their care. Raji, the General Manager, spent days preparing and cooking a magnificent spread of food for all our wonderful carers.
Garden Family Reunion
Residents and their relatives enjoyed getting together in the home’s garden. There has been a much careful planning and preparation for this moment, and at this point, it is a limited and cautious approach, with not all residents being able to accept visitors, but only where we believe it to be safe. It was welcome news to so many residents, family, and friends, who were kept apart for so long, following strict government guidance.
