Activities at Ashchurch View Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Spring Crafts

Our residents have been busy with Spring crafts, making flowers with pipe cleaners and decorating pictures with lots of colours. Our residents had a lovely time and the home looks bright and colourful with all of the spring creations.

Flower Arranging

At Ashchurch we are very fortunate to receive regular flower donations from the local voluntary service; these are from our local Tesco and Marks & Spencer supermarket. Our residents are always very pleased to receive them and make flower arrangements.

National Hot Chocolate day

At Ashchurch we celebrated National hot chocolate day by having delicious hot chocolates and cookies in the afternoon. Our residents were reminded of cosy days inside with family on a rainy day.

Arts and Crafts

Residents find our arts and crafts sessions such a relaxing and sociable activity. From simple colouring, to the more creative crafts;  residents always surprise us with their creativity!

Music and Movement with Oomph

Residents have really been enjoying our new Oomph music sessions, where we sing, dance and exercise along to some our favourite music genres. So far, Rock 'n' Roll is definitely a favourite!

Knitting Club

Knitting is a very popular activity at Ashchurch View and we’re so privileged to be able to support our residents to continue to enjoy their hobbies and passions.  Residents have been patiently knitting squares that will be put together to create a blanket! We can't wait to see the finished result.
