Activities at Alice Grange Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Penny Allen
Hi, my name is Penny and I am the Lead Activities Coordinator here at Alice Grange.
I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities, leisure and lifestyle roles.
I love being part of the Alice Grange team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the residents' input into our weekly planner is important as it gives all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous passions and hobbies.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Volunteer Recognition Day
We wanted to say a very big thank you to all our volunteers who kindly donate some of their free time to help Alice Grange.
International Women's Day
We celebrated International Women's Day right here at Alice Grange.
Red Nose Day Fundraiser
On 9th March, we hosted a Red Nose Day bake sale and managed to raise £90 for Comic Relief.
Christmas Hamper
General Manager, Michelle, and Head of Unit, Kirsty Smith, delivered a food hamper of Christmas that went to families in need.
Christmas Tree Appeal
This was a special day to celebrate the Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust Chirstmas tree appeal. All those present were donating gifts to give away on Christmas Day to anyone unlucky enough to be in hospital at that time.
Onesie Day
Residents and staff at the Alice Grange celebrated both Children and Need and the grand opening of our new Pub.
So far, over £50 has been raised for the charity, and tonight we enjoy the grand opening of our new bar, in which residents can unwind and relax over their favourite tipple.
Anyone wishing to donate further to Children in Need can continue to do so at Alice Grange.
