Activities at Windmill Manor Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Summer BBQ

Summer BBQ

We hosted our annual Bank Holiday summer BBQ on 26th of August. We were very lucky with the weather having beautiful sunshine all day.

It was a very busy afternoon for our chef Tina who prepared a selection of meats and salads and also plenty of drinks to quench our thirsts in the hot weather.

It was a huge success with our new manager Amanda Gunner joining us in all the fun with the residents, staff and families.

The Magic Table

We are delighted to announce that we have just had a Magic Table installed, which is an interactive light projector, designed to support residents living with dementia by keeping them engaged through specialised games.

The light projections respond to hand and arm movement, allowing residents to stay stimulated and, most of all, have fun!

You can read more about it on this page.
