Activities at Wheatlands Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Wheatlands Care Home
Around the World
We went around the world to Las Vegas; we had a great day of singing, dancing, quizzes, music, and we even went to the casino!
The Easter Bunny
The local school children were so excited when our Easter bunny passed by to deliver some eggs.
St Patrick's Day
We enjoyed lots of singing and dancing, plenty of Guinness and we also held a “looking for leprechauns” walk.
Mother's Day
We all had such a special day with lots of family visits, facetimes, flowers and gifts. We also had a surprise visit from a singer, which we all really enjoyed.
March for Cancer
This month for the whole of March, we are walking for cancer research. Staff and residents can log walks and steps as much as possible to add up our grand total, which we will keep track of in reception.
National Storytelling Week
Paula really enjoyed reading The Gruffalo story on Zoom to our little friends at 2 local schools.
