Field House Care Home in Shropshire
Situated in rural Shropshire and close to the local amenities of Church Stretton, Field House provides residential care in a home-from-home environment, with great gardens and good public transport links.
Here at Field House, we are acknowledged by many as a ‘home from home’ unique care setting within the heart of an area of outstanding natural beauty. Our reputation is endorsed by the enthusiasm of the residents and the peace of mind enjoyed by their relatives and friends. Our dedicated staff team are committed to providing bespoke, person-centred care whilst promoting life style choices through meaningful activities, “making goals a reality.” Field House offers 19 bedrooms with en-suite facilities, each with their own individual characteristics and stunning views of the Shropshire Hills, with the option of Sky and broadband facilities. The home also features a range of areas to relax in, including two separate lounges and a conservatory that overlooks the home's lawn, and a well-stocked library, along with two beautiful dining rooms. We offer a number of care options that are tailored to the support needs of respite and permanent residents, including services for frail older people, and for people with disabilities and for people with sensory impairments. Hi, my name is Paula, and I am the General Manager here at Field House. Welcome to our website!
I started working in the care sector when I was 20 years old after assisting my grandmother when she was ill, with the need for oxygen therapy.
When I lost my grandmother, I decided that I had lots to offer to the care sector, and that this is where I wanted to build my career. I started off as a care assistant and gradually worked my way up to a senior care assistant following the completion of my NVQ level 2.
Following a break to start my family, I decided to pursue the career that I loved so much, gradually working my way up the ladder to Deputy Manager at a sister care home within Barchester.
In January 2021, I was offered a wonderful opportunity to become the General Manager at Field House and I was honoured and privileged to begin my journey as a General Manager at this home and build relationships with residents loved ones alike.
Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and I am currently studying to complete an NVQ level 5 in Management & Leadership.Get in touch Meet my team
