Activities at The Warren Care Home

Here at The Warren, our activities team are always very busy thinking of new ways to keep residents active, both physically and mentally. We have regular trips out in the minibus, both locally and further a field, including the London Eye and the Thames River Trip), at least once a week during the summer months. We also enjoy visits from PAT dogs and have professional exercise sessions and live entertainment, which are always popular.

Kirstie Tifrani

Activities Coordinator

My name is Kirstie and I am lucky enough to be the Activities Coordinator here at The Warren.

I have many years of experience working in care homes in Activities and leisure and lifestyle roles.

I love being part of The Warren team and supporting our residents to live their best lives with fun, interesting, and varied activities available every week. I always feel that the importance of residents' input into our weekly planner is important giving all residents equal opportunity to explore new interests as well as keeping up with previous interests and hobbies.

Life at The Warren Care Home

Giovanni & David

Giovanni & David

Giovanni & David returned to The Warren for another afternoon of music and fun!

Barchester's 25th Anniversary

We hosted a party to celebrate Barchester's 25th anniversary, with many residents, staff members and visitors attending. The ever-popular Bobby G was here to entertain us for the afternoon and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

,

Wensum Valley Golf Club

We visited the Wensum Valley Golf Club to see Bobby G perform his country singing. This was enjoyed by those who went, especially Maureen, who was on the dance floor for some time. Come 5:00 p.m., it was time for tea and, afterwards, more dancing. We finally arrived back at The Warren around 8:00 p.m.

Queen of the Broads

We boarded the minibus, this time to go to Wroxham, where we were booked on a river boat trip for 2 hours. After eating our packed lunches on the bus, we boarded 'The Queen of the Broads' and went as far as Horning Reach and then made our way back to Wroxham, passing the former home of George Formby en route.

Southwold Trip

This will be out last trip to Southwold in 2017. It was another lovely day out, and everyone is looking forward to next year, when they reopen in February.

Keeping Busy

We are always keeping busy here at The Warren, and this time it was with a mixture of colouring and word searches, both of which went down very well. In fact, one resident became quite hooked on the word search and asked her daughter to get her some books from the shop.
