Activities at Vecta House Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Tanya Everson
Hello, My name is Tanya and I am the Lifestyle Leader here at Vecta House.
I started work at Vecta in June 2018 as part of the housekeeping team. I have worked as part of Activities Team for over a year and have grown very passionate in ensuring our residents have stimulating, life enriching activities available every day. I feel proud knowing I have brought smiles and laughter to our residents and love working with the great team we have here at Vecta House.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Vecta House Care Home

Book Club with our local primary school
Children from the local primary school have been visiting the residents on a fortnightly basis for reading club. Residents and children both really enjoy this club and is one of the most popular activities with residents telling us it is absolutely magical.

A Concert from Summerfields Primary School
Residents and Vecta House ventured into the beautiful gardens to enjoy the end of term celebrations with the local primary school.
Summerfields primary school preformed a mini concert where residents enjoyed listening to the children play their Ukulele and sing a variety of songs all while basking in the glorious sunshine. Staff presented each child with a small gift and flowers to the teachers.
