Activities at Vecta House Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Hello, My name is Tanya and I am the Lifestyle Leader here at Vecta House.
I started work at Vecta in June 2018 as part of the housekeeping team. I have worked as part of Activities Team for over a year and have grown very passionate in ensuring our residents have stimulating, life enriching activities available every day. I feel proud knowing I have brought smiles and laughter to our residents and love working with the great team we have here at Vecta House.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Remembrance Day
Our residents enjoyed making items ready for Remembrance Day.
Out & About
We have enjoyed many outing swith our residents; we went to Quarr Abbey to have a cup of tea and a lovely slice of cake and, on the way back, we stopped to say hello to the pig and give them a few treats.
Music & Movement
We had an amazing day with Suki's first visit back to Vecta House.
Easter Celebrations
We all enjoyed our chocolate eggs over Easter with many other activities going on, including arts and crafts, where we made Easter bonnets.
Indoor Gardening
We enjoy our garden space here a Vecta House, and we all love taking part in doing the garden and getting our hands dirty. We have been taking part in planting the seeds ready for them to go out in the garden.
Greek Independence Day
We had our own fun by listening to some Greek music whilst playing with balloons and doing what the Greek do with plates, but ours was paper. We also looked around Greece virtually, then in the afternoon we settled down and watched some movies that were set in Greece.
