Activities at Ross Court Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Cinderella Presented By the Ross Court Team

We had an amazing time at Ross Court, the staff came together to perform a Cinderella panto, the residents wouldn't stop talking about it, we sang carols and old time songs, everyone joined in the fun.  Well done all.

Christmas Cake Decorating Competition

Ross Court entered into the Barchester Christmas Cake Competition.  This was a cake made and decorated by the residents and one by the chef.  We are sure you will agree both cakes look fabulous and we can't wait to eat them as well!  The lapland scene was created by the residents and the chimney with santa was created by our hospitality team.

Christmas Party and Celebrations

Yesterday was Christmas party time at Ross Court for the residents. Thank you to our hospitality team for such a delicious buffet and thank you to Hayley for putting together a fun afternoon of activities including a festive quiz, Christmas bingo, sing a long carols and table bowling. The residents really enjoyed the food accompanied with sherry and wine!

It has been a week of celebrating, our oldest resident celebrated their 104th birthday and the team presented Julie with gifts to not only mark her being at Ross Court a year but also to thank her for everything she has done over the past 12 months.

Our Countdown to Christmas continues as we prepare for the big day itself in a week.

Christmas Wreath Display

As part of Barchester's varied Life Enrichment Programme Ross Court residents recently enjoyed a live virtual demonstration from Blooming Haus on Christmas wreath making.  Further to the event residents made their own wreath to enter into a competition to be judged by the experts from Blooming Haus.  They all set to work creating a stunning wreath which looks lovely on display.
