I have now taken the next step in my career and taken on the role of Deputy Manager. I’m very much a people person, that’s why I love working in care. I’m also up for a laugh and am happy to joke and join in with the activities the residents are doing, after all its keeping them happy.

Hi, my name is Louise and I joined Ross Court in July 2020 as Home Administrator. I have several years of experience in administration, but this is the first time within a care home. I am really enjoying my new role as I class myself as a people's person.
And so, I love being able to engage with the residents and their families. It brings a whole new dimension to my working day.
I have worked as a Chef for over 30 years and food is my passion. I have worked 20 years in fine dining and have worked as a Chef in a private boarding school. I feel that the post in the school helped prepare me for this post. I am aware that there are many dietary requirements within different sectors and enjoy finding ways to meet these needs while maintaining the highest quality of dining experience.
I like the quote "You are only as good as your last meal" I remind myself of this quote daily and take it as a personal challenge to ensure every meal is my best.
