Activities at Ross Court Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Special Moments

When we say everything has a Christmas theme at Ross Court we mean everything! It really is the most wonderful time of the year, with spirits high. Julie had a dance with a resident while on her walk around the home today - it is these moments that make working in care so very special.

Snowman Bowling!

Hayley, the Ross Court Activities Coordinator is a talented artist and everyone really enjoyed this new game she has designed and painted - snowman bowling!  It will definately be featuring regularly over the next couple of weeks, it combines physical activity with some competition so perfect for the Ross Court residents.

Christmas Jumper Day!

Christmas Jumper Day certainly made us feel even more festive. The team looked great in their collection of Christmas clothing! Residents enjoyed painting and decorating the decorations they recently made as the clay had set, these delicate decorations will add to our Christmas displays.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

Residents had a lovely time decorating the home ready for Christmas.  We decorated the trees, windows, staircases and put fireplace garlands all around the home, all while singing some classic carols.  It really is looking like Christmas!

Christmas Cake Wishes

Every Ross Court resident got to mix the Christmas cake and make a wish. It smelt so nice we all think we are ready for Christmas food - how lucky it is December tomorrow - let the festive food and drink begin!

Ross Court Wine!

You may remember the witches brew residents created for Halloween, it wasn't all drunk so we have been adding some fruit to add further flavour. Residents really enoyed the next batch enjoying a glass while bowling. Ross Court need to think of a name for our locally produced wine!
