Activities at Ross Court Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Life at Ross Court Care Home

A fascinating Life

Ross Court residents had one of the most interesting afternoons today, a resident gentleman, named Mr Bill Ramsden, gave the group a wonderful talk on his life.  Age 6,  Bill was rescued from the Quetta earthquake in 1935 and he talked about his homeward bound travels after the devastation.  He also told us about his life as a black rat traffic police officer in Putney London. He explained to us how he dealt with fatalities on the roads and railways in his day.

The group had Q and A time with Bill after his talk accompanied by tea and cake. Thank you Bill we really appreciate the time you spent entertaining us with your fantastic talk, a true gentleman.

Afternoon Teas in the Gardens

It has been a glorious week at Ross Court with beautiful weather which has meant afternoon tea outside most days, ending the week with our pre-mother's day family gathering.  Our catering team bake fresh cakes daily and put on a wonderful spread for this special afternoon.  With such beautiful grounds to stroll around we have so enjoyed the fresh air.
