Activities at Raleigh Manor Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Kirstie Cobb
I joined Barchester as a carer in 2019, and quickly realised I had a passion for helping people live their best lives. In June 2022 after a move to Exmouth, I joined the team Raleigh Manor as a carer and enjoyed helping with the activities. When the role of Activities Coordinator became available, I jumped at the chance to combine my care background with my desire to truly enrich the lives of the residents in my care.

Life at Raleigh Manor Care Home
International Cocktail Day
Today our residents enjoyed Bloody Mary’s in the sunshine in honour of International Cocktail Day.
Not that we need an excuse, of course!
We sipped our drinks whilst taking in the beautiful views that we are so lucky to have here at Raleigh Manor.
Birthday games and cake
Birthday girl beat us all at skittles today.
We had a fabulous day with lots of games, laughter, singing, dancing and delicious Birthday cake.
The sun was shining all day long, too! A perfect Thursday at Raleigh Manor.
Raleigh Manor Corner Shop with Sherry
Welcome to our Friday midmorning corner shop.
It’s a place to pick up a few essentials and drink sherry with the manager…perfect, cheers!
Residents Grandson plays piano for us
What a fantastic afternoon we had listening to one of our residents grandsons playing the piano!
Thank you so much Matthew for giving up some of your time to play some classic musical pieces, we all thoroughly enjoyed it.
Planting herbs in the sunshine
With the gorgeous weather, our residents have taken the opportunity to soak up the sunshine on the terrace and plant some herbs.
A great job done - now to watch them grow before handing them over to our chefs to use and incorporate in our delicious meals.

Cake Making
Raleigh Manor residents enjoyed an afternoon of cake making this week, we were quite surprised there was any chocolate left at the end of it as there was a lot of taste testing going on during this afternoon activity!!
