Meet the Raleigh Manor Care Home team
Our home wouldn’t be what it is today without the wonderful team who have consistently put in hard work and dedication to deliver a high level of care to everyone we support. It is important that our staff are able to build good relationships with residents, and are seen as approachable and always willing to have a chat.
Hi, I'm Amanda, the Senior General Manager here at Raleigh Manor Care Home, and I would like to welcome you to our brand new home.
I have worked in the healthcare sector since 1998. I qualified at Luton University and worked at the NHS, specialising in surgical, rehab and end of life care. I have a degree in Critical Care Nursing and I am an experienced orthopaedic nurse. I have also spent time working in the private sector at a charitable hospital for the clergy in London and nursed for five years in Guernsey. I was promoted to General Manager at Newington Court in July 2016 and then moved to Raleigh Manor Care Home.
I have worked in the care sector for over 13 years and achieved my level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care within this time. My passion is making a positive difference to other's lives and to maintain individual's well-being. I am very passionate about my job and enjoy every moment of it.
I am a City and Guilds qualified carpenter and joiner and I have over 25 years' knowledge of working in care home property maintenance.
I am very much looking forward to be working in the new beautiful surroundings of Raleigh Manor.
In my spare time I enjoy all sports, especially football and Rugby. I also enjoy playing Golf and darts where I am in the Exmouth Darts League.
I joined Barchester in 2015 and worked as the Assistant Housekeeper at Newington Court Care Home in Kent. I thoroughly enjoy my work and interacting with the residents, especially in Memory Lane. I had an excellent team helping each other. I have now relocated to Exmouth and joined the Raleigh Manor team. I look forward to welcoming new residents to our beautiful new home.
I have worked in the sector for more than 2 and a half decades, ten of which were with Devon County Council. I am very particular about providing person-centred care and I like to always treat individuals in the way I would like to be treated myself. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my partner and family.
I have worked in care since I was 13. I started in the kitchen and then eventually worked my way up to Senior Carer. I have had many experiences in my care journey looking after people with various needs, including dementia and learning difficulties. I am very passionate about my job and love looking after others. When I am at home I like to walk my dog and spend time outside.
I have been in care since 2013. I have worked in different care settings, including, mental health and learning disabilities. I have also worked in education. I like to spend time watching football (Exeter City), walking my dogs and spending time with my family.
I have been in care since 2011. I began my journey working in a nursing home, then moved to young adults with learning difficulties, and finally went on to a home that specialised in mental health. I like to spend my spare time with my partner and his 8 year old daughter.
I've worked in the care sector since 2009. I love working in care and helping people. I’m a single mum to my son, Zaine, and when I’m not at work you will find me on the farm riding my horses, sorting the sheep and walking my dogs
I've worked in palliative care and in the community since 2011. My aim is to help our residents feel like Raleigh Manor is home from home and become part of the Barchester family.
If I can make just one person smile or feel reassured in a day that makes me happy. I'm dedicated, compassionate and caring and look forward to welcoming you to Raleigh Manor.
