Activities at Parley Place Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

I love being a friendly face for our residents. A day in their lives should be filled with the care they deserve and enriched with activities. We embrace each and every moment and make memories, I have many skills and a passion to provide our residents with the social interactions, lots of activities, smiles, laughter and fun.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Christmas Crafts

Over Christmas we have done a variety of craft activities from making a chocolate house to our own reindeers for gifts.

Christmas at the Nursery

We took a trip down the road to see our friends at Mighty Oaks Day Nursery and enjoyed some festive fun with them.

Antler Game

We enjoyed a fun morning with a new game for the season - it was great fun to play and we all really enjoyed throwing the hoops to hook them on to the antlers!

Ferndown Strummers!

We were delighted to be entertained by the Ferndown Strummers Ukulele band - they practise here fortnightly and treated us to a concert of their Christmas tunes!

Elf Day

Elf Day!

We celebrated Elf day with a visit from Parley Pre-School, we made snowmen, did some colouring and played some games. The children made us all Christmas cards and sung to us.
