Activities at Parley Place Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Activities Co-ordinator

I love being a friendly face for our residents.  A day in their lives should be filled with the care they deserve and enriched with activities.  We embrace each and every moment and make memories, I have many skills and a passion to provide our residents with the social interactions, lots of activities, smiles, laughter and fun.

Burns Celebrations

We had a fabulous time yesterday for our Burns celebrations, we had the traditional address to the haggis by our lovely piper John who was amazing. We all enjoyed trying some haggis with whiskey sauce and a dram of whiskey on the side. We had some great conversations and a lovely poem chosen by our resident ambassador, Jan which was very fitting for the occasion.

Music Afternoon

An afternoon of Music.

This week for our Chitter chatter club we were joined by the fabulous Laura who brought along song books for us to join in with her as she sang and played to some of our favourite tunes. We enjoyed a dance and of course a cup of tea and cakes!
