Activities at Parley Place Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Activities Co-ordinator

I love being a friendly face for our residents.  A day in their lives should be filled with the care they deserve and enriched with activities.  We embrace each and every moment and make memories, I have many skills and a passion to provide our residents with the social interactions, lots of activities, smiles, laughter and fun.

We enjoyed a lively visit from Mighty Oaks Day Nursey yesterday, they played their favourite games with us and read us some stories.  We had lunch together in the dining room before the children went back to their nursery.  We look forward to our next trip together.

The wonderful Mike Sidaway came for his first visit to Parley Place, the residents loved hearing him sing, we even had a few dances as well!

Noughts and Crosses

A few competitive games of Noughts and Crosses took place at our last community cafe - everyone wanted to win, including Tracey, our General Manager! It was all pretty even scoring though and I am sure we will be having a re-match soon.
