Activities at Parley Place Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Brian Ramsay
I love being a friendly face for our residents. A day in their lives should be filled with the care they deserve and enriched with activities. We embrace each and every moment and make memories, I have many skills and a passion to provide our residents with the social interactions, lots of activities, smiles, laughter and fun.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Parley Place Care Home

Burns Celebrations
We had a fabulous time yesterday for our Burns celebrations, we had the traditional address to the haggis by our lovely piper John who was amazing. We all enjoyed trying some haggis with whiskey sauce and a dram of whiskey on the side. We had some great conversations and a lovely poem chosen by our resident ambassador, Jan which was very fitting for the occasion.

Music Afternoon
An afternoon of Music.
This week for our Chitter chatter club we were joined by the fabulous Laura who brought along song books for us to join in with her as she sang and played to some of our favourite tunes. We enjoyed a dance and of course a cup of tea and cakes!

Cooking Club
Cooking Club
There were lots of smiles and laughter this week as we made some crispy cakes as requested and chosen by our residents. I'm told they tasted good as well but didn't last long!

Christmas Switch on
We were delighted to welcome Bournemouth Youth Marching Band to Parley Place to switch on our Christmas Lights this year.

Classic Christmas Cars
We were delighted to receive a visit from the VW club with the vehicles adorned in festive decorations, we had a good look around the cars and then enjoyed mulled wine, mince pies and singing some carols all together.

Christmas Crafts
Over Christmas we have done a variety of craft activities from making a chocolate house to our own reindeers for gifts.
